In collaboration with CASE, CCAE has released the final report of the 2nd edition of the CASE-CCAE Support of Education Survey, Canada, in which there was 34 returning institutions that participated, along with 11 new institutions, for a total of 45 participants.
2019 marks the first occurrence of year-over-year data analysis against the inaugural year’s results.
The insights from the report enabled by the survey are of game-changing value to CCAE members & advancement professionals across the nation. Institutions that participated in the survey secured over $1.7 billion (cdn) (2018 = $1.5B from 48 schools) in private support from over 260,000 individual and institutional donors. Further to note is that the funds secured per full-time students in 2019 was $2,100, whereas, 2018 saw $1,724. This is indicative of how institutions are increasing philanthropy gains and creating true value in the Canadian charitable sector.

The CASE-CCAE Support of Education Survey, Canada, and its results is the first of its kind in Canada. It provides comprehensive data on fundraising and charitable giving to Canadian colleges, institutes and universities, filling a major information gap for Canadian philanthropic efforts.
The survey is designed to accommodate advancement shops of all sizes by identifying a small number of core data points to be submitted by all participants and optional questions for those interested.
Participating institutions gain complimentary access to detailed survey results using CASE’s online Benchmarking Toolkit.
Survey participants are able to:
