After working in student recruitment in the United States for five years, Matt Stiegemeyer joined the University of Victoria in 2007. His academic background includes a doctorate in higher and adult education, as well as a master's degree in communication. Matt's experience with undergraduate outreach came to UVic just as the university enhanced its ability to connect with students with measured results. Combined with his research interests in student retention, communication efforts have focused on establishing the "right fit" between institution and student, contributing to the 20% increase of new students entering UVic direct from high school.
