Profile:

Melana Soroka has been an advancement professional for five years, and has 20 years of experience in university administration, all at the University of Saskatchewan. She is currently Director of Alumni Relations, a division of University Advancement. She is also Executive Director, University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association, a not-for-profit agency representing U of S alumni. Melana joined the CCAE Board of Directors in 2008.

 

Says Melana Soroka:

“Through CCAE, I have gained a new understanding of the opportunities and challenges that face schools across Canada. I also now understand the diversity of our member institutions and the exciting professional development opportunities available to our advancement professionals.

I want to assist the organization as it moves to its new model of governance. I want CCAE to be recognized as a vibrant, relevant national organization among its members and other organizations, and for its leadership in advancement efforts in Canada. I also hope to see renewed interest in our sponsors’ support for our strategic initiatives, such as conferences and fellowships.”
