Duties:

Directors-at-Large on the CCAE Board serve two-year terms (maximum of two consecutive terms) and are responsible for program areas assigned to them by the President or Board of Directors.

Profile:

Marcel Dupuis has been involved with fundraising for more than 18 years, at the YMCA, a fundraising consulting firm and at Concordia University. He has been Executive Director of development at Université de Montréal for three years, serving as a member of the Executive Committee.

Marcel joined the CCAE Board of Directors in 2006, and recently completed his third year as Co-Chair of the Prix d’Excellence awards competition. For his dedicated service to the Prix d’Excellence, Marcel received an award of recognition from CCAE President Frank Lockington at the national conference in Hamilton, in June 2009.

Says Marcel Dupuis:

“I have really discovered CCAE over the past three years. I have gained a lot of knowledge and met many great, dedicated people. Previously, I had attended a few CCAE conferences, not knowing much about the organization, but mostly based on program topics. I now understand better all the opportunities and threats CCAE is facing, from the competition, expectations of the members, our leadership role, our growth and credibility. Now that I have been renewed on the Board, I hope to develop CCAE in Québec as a leader and reference point in educational advancement.”
