Profile:

Frank Lockington is a public relations graduate of St. Lawrence College who has worked at his alma mater for 25 years. He established the college’s first alumni relations office 20 years ago, and 10 years ago established the St. Lawrence College Foundation. Frank currently oversees Alumni Relations, Awards (all donor-sponsored student support) and all fundraising for the college through the St. Lawrence College Foundation.

Frank’s involvement with CCAE started through CCAE-Ontario, on whose Board he served for three years, including two as Treasurer. Frank joined the CCAE national Board of Directors in 2006, serving as Partner/Sponsorship Chair, VP Finance and Administration and, since 2008, as President.

Over the next few years, Frank looks forward to leading CCAE through the following priorities:

  • Develop a new strategic plan for CCAE and its members;
  • Continue the migration of the Board from an operational to a strategic, governance model;
  • Further develop CCAE as a respected, authoritative voice for educational advancement in Canada;
  • Expand regional activities and services for members in Atlantic Canada, Quebec and the Prairies.

Says Frank Lockington:

“My affiliation with CCAE has helped me to grow both professionally and personally. The relationships I have been able to foster, coast to coast, are particularly important to me as ours is a very small shop, and we have so much to learn from others. CCAE members are among the most respectful and helpful professionals I have met in my 25 years of working in educational advancement.”
