2002 Winner Renée Nolet
A university magazine is a most useful tool for development and every effort must be made by educational institutions to ensure that it is a top-quality communication vehicle.
Renée Nolet has achieved this goal with great energy and professionalism. She joined the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue in 1997 when a new position was created in external communications. She was given the mandate to design a University magazine that would fulfill the communication needs of the University, its Foundation and its Alumni Association.
As a result in 1998 the first magazine of UQAT, the quarterly publication Convergences, was created. All the work related to the publishing of the magazine is the responsibility of Renée Drolet, who acts as executive and artistic director, managing editor, journalist and coordinator. Our Rising Star, signs most articles and has made Convergences, an informative and entertaining magazine which succeeds both in promoting its University and meeting its readers expectations.
Her talent, dynamism and knowledge have already recognized through numerous other distinctions. Renée Nolet, our Rising Star, is a key player for her magazine, for her University and also for the entire advancement field.
