Service Awards
The 2008 CCAE Distinguished Service Awards
An opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of advancement colleagues
and friends of education! Deadline for Nominations: March 31, 2008
These awards have been established to recognize and honour CCAE members, as well as individuals or organizations who have contributed in a meaningful way to the cause of higher education in Canada. The Distinguished Service Awards are presented at the CCAE Annual Conference, this year in Kelowna, BC, June 7th to June 10th.
The Friend of Education Award honours outstanding service or commitment to post-secondary or independent school education by a volunteer, organization, foundation, corporation or publication. The recipient will have made a significant contribution in a leadership role to the cause of institutional Advancement or education in Canada.

Manulife Financial Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes a current or recent member who has made extraordinary contributions to the field of educational advancement over a number of years. The recipient is recognized both for exemplifying the highest ideals of the advancement profession and for dedicated mentoring of others in the field.
The Rising Star Award. To be eligible to receive the award, the Rising Star must:
- Have between three and five years experience in the institutional advancement field
- At the time of nomination and presentation, be employed as an institutional advancement professional by a member in good standing of CCAE
- Demonstrate achievements and accomplishments in the institutional advancement field
- Demonstrate early success as an advancement leader
- Demonstrate professional and volunteer contributions that indicate a strong commitment to advancement in Canada
The CCAE Circle honours those members who have completed at least ten years of service in educational Advancement in the professions encompassed by CCAE. Recognition will be given for 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service. Service need not be consecutive.
